How to choose a supply ventilation unit for your business
A supply ventilation unit (SVU) is a key element of an HVAC system, responsible for supplying purified and conditioned air into a room. The correct choice of unit ensures the comfort of employees and clients, compliance with standards, and optimal energy consumption. Below is a step-by-step guide to choosing an SVU for various business sectors.

1. Performance calculation

Performance (m³/h) depends on the purpose of the room, area, and number of people:
  • Offices: 60–80 m³/h per person
  • Restaurants / Cafes: from 80 m³/h per hall + enhanced kitchen
  • Production: 2–3 air changes per hour
  • Medical Centers: from 100–150 m³/h per zone
  • Gyms: 80–120 m³/h per person

2. Air filtration

  • G4 — coarse filtration
  • F7 / F9 — for urban facilities
  • H13 (HEPA) — medicine / laboratories
  • Carbon — for odor control (HoReCa)

3. Heating / cooling

  • Winter: electric heaters, water or gas heat exchangers
  • Summer: built-in free coolers, connection to chillers

4. Noise level

  • Offices, clinics: up to 40 dB (with silencers)
  • Warehouses, production: 50–55 dB

5. Control and automation

  • Touch controllers with display
  • CO2, humidity, PM2.5 sensors
  • BMS / MODBUS support

6. Installation and safety

  • Compact floor or ceiling design
  • Quick access to filters
  • Availability of EI60/FPC valves
